Our Story

Second City Coffee is a proudly Manchester based coffee company offering a range of services from retail & wholesale coffee, consultancy, events and in March 2018 we opened our first coffee house in Stockton Heath.

We are honoured to serve renowned venues in Manchester such as Manchester Art Gallery, The Whitworth Gallery, The Real Junk Food Project and Milk & Honey among others. We can be found at events throughout the country with Luigi, our Piaggio Apè mobile espresso bar from which we serve our handcrafted hot drinks using our Signature 2.0 coffee. Our partners include Manchester City FC, Wigan Athletic FC, Manchester Airport, #OneLoveManchester, Radiohead, Parklife and ITV’s Good Morning Britain and can be found at artisan markets, local festivals and corporate events in and around Manchester and the north west.

We also offer barista training and consultancy if you are looking to open or improve your coffee business.

We believe our passion for coffee and great customer service stands us apart from the others and being situated in the heart of Manchester enables us to serve the needs of the region with ease. We are a tight knit operation so our varied client base enjoys a unique personal service that simply cannot be matched.

We only serve the very best quality products and of course our coffee beans are freshly roasted daily in small batches to ensure you will not get a better tasting or fresher coffee anywhere. Be it from Ethiopia, Colombia, Peru, Brazil or Guatemala every coffee bean is ethically sourced and is ALWAYS fairly traded ensuring our farmers and their families are given the very best price for their coffee.

Our Peruvian Signature 2.0 house roast is sourced via The Café Femenino Foundation which is a women only cooperative in Peru. They are given grants from which communities are strengthened and families are stabilised. This also helps to ensure that the local environment is protected and encouraged to flourish wherever possible.
